I am thinking it's a signG
That the freckles in our eyesAm
Are mirror images and whenG
We kiss they're perfectly alignedC
And I have to speculateG
That God himself did makeAm
Us into corresponding shapesG
Like puzzle pieces from the clayC
And true, it may seem like a stretch,G
But its thoughts like this that catchAm
My troubled head when you're awayG
When I am missing you to deathC
When you are out there on the roadG
For several weeks of showsAm
And when you scan the radio,G
I hope this song will guide you homeC
G
They will see us waving from such great heights,Am
G
"Come down now," they'll sayC
G
But everything looks perfect from far away,Am
G
"Come down now," but we'll stay...C
I tried my best to leaveG
This all on your machineAm
But the persistent beat it sounded thinG
Upon listeningC
And that frankly will not fly.G
You will hear the shrillest highsAm
And lowest lows with the windows downG
When this is guiding you homeC

They will see us waving from such great heights,Am

It sorta works, I think you could easily use these chords.
However, it's suppose to be:
C-C-G-G-F-F-C-G
so just replace your Am with F, and the last G to a C to a G.
But your way works just as well.
