Tablature / Chords (Full Song)

Font size: A- A A+

Year:  2013
Difficulty:
2.9
(Beginner)
Key: C, AmChords
intro:
# |C C Am Am|C C Am Am|

1st:
C C Am Am
I've heard there was a secret chord
C C Am Am
That David played and it pleased the Lord
F F G G C C G G
But you don't really care for music do you?

C C F F G G
It goes like this, the fourth, the fifth
Am Am F F
The minor fall, the major lift
G G Em Em Am Am
The baffled King composing Hallelujah

F F Am Am
Hallelujah, hallelujah
F F C C-G G-C C-C C
Hallelujah, hallelujah

2nd:
Your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty in the moonlight overthrew you

She tied you to a kitchen chair
She broke your throne, and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the hallelujah

Hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah

3rd:
Maybe I've been here before
I know this room, I've walked this floor
I used to live alone before I knew you

I've seen your flag on the marble arch
Love is not a victory march
It's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah

Hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah

5th:
There was a time when you let me know
What's real and going on below
But now you never show it to me, do you?

And remember when I moved in you
The Holy Dark was moving too
And every breath we drew was hallelujah

Hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah

6th:
Maybe there's a God above
And all I ever learned from love
Was how to shoot at someone who outdrew you

And it's not a cry you can hear at night
It's not somebody who's seen the light
It's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah
F F Am Am
Hallelujah, hallelujah
F F C C-G G
Hallelujah, hallelujah
F F Am Am
Hallelujah, hallelujah
F F C C-G G-C C
Hallelujah, hallelujah

Would have been easier to play the chords if it's appears all along the song above the lyrics. Someone doesn't know all the lyrics by mind. Even though I like it with a beginners mind and short fingers/small hands. It's quite playable like this.

Personally, I just finger pick this rather than strum so it sounds more like the actual song. I go 324142 on C chords and then because the others have a repeating note I'll just do 321123. hope this helps.

I'm not sure if this should be Em or E7... both seem to sound right and the E7 is an easier shift. Thoughts?
