About this song: Twisted Nerve
The uniquely tense and haunting "Georgie's theme" from Herrmann's score for the 1968 film Twisted Nerve is re-used effectively by Quentin Tarantino in the hospital corridor scene in Kill Bill (2003), whistled by the hellish one-eyed nurse Elle Driver. It was later re-re-used by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuck, repeatedly and much less effectively, in their series American Horror Story (2011).
