If you want then you can switch out the E7 to an F and it sounds way better. Also on everything except for the versus it is better if you switch so the Dm and E7 are first and then you put the C and G after it. But besides that this is pretty good

As a lot of people have mentioned, F works perfectly in place of E7, plus it's super easy switching from Dm to F then from Dm to E7- win-win! Also I kinda just go with the flow for the strumming pattern, but I do like DDU DU

For "maybe I should try harder" try F, G, and Am, then for "you should lower your expectations" try C, F. Then, for "if I got more pretty..." just play Dm, "do you think he would like me" play F and then N.C. for the end of the phrase
