I don't know just where I'm going
D chordD G chordG D chordD G chordG D chordD
But I'm gonna try for the kingdom if I can
G chordG D chordD
Cos it makes me feel like I'm a man
G chordG D chordD
When I put a spike into my vein
G chordG D chordD
And I tell ya things aren't quite the same
G chordG D chordD
When I'm rushing on my run
G chordG D chordD
And I feel just like Jesus' son
G chordG D chordD
And I guess that I just don't know
G chordG D chordD G chordG D chordD G chordG
And I guess that I just don't know

D chordD G chordG D chordD G chordG D chordD G chordG D chordD
I have made a big decision
D chordD G chordG D chordD G chordG D chordD
I'm gonna try to nullify my life
G chordG D chordD
Cos when the blood begins to flow
G chordG D chordD
And it shoots up the dropper's neck
G chordG D chordD
When I'm closing in on death

G chordG D chordD
You can't help me not you guys
G chordG D chordD
Oh, all you sweet girls with all your sweet talk
G chordG D chordD
You can all go take a walk
G chordG D chordD
And I guess that I just don't know
G chordG D chordD G chordG D chordD G chordG
And I guess that I just don't know

D chordD G chordG D chordD G chordG D chordD G chordG D chordD G chordG
I wish that I was born a thousand years ago
D chordD G chordG D chordD G chordG D chordD
I wish that I'd sailed the darkened seas
G chordG D chordD
On a great big clipper ship
G chordG D chordD
Going from this land here to that
G chordG D chordD
Oh, in a sailor's suit and cap

G chordG D chordD
Away from the big city
G chordG D chordD
Where a man can not be free
G chordG D chordD
Of all the evils of this town
G chordG D chordD
And of himself and those around
G chordG D chordD
Oh, and I guess that I just don't know
G chordG D chordD G chordG D chordD G chordG
Oh, and I guess that I just don't know

D chordD G chordG D chordD G chordG D chordD G chordG D chordD G chordG
Her_____oin, it'll be the death of me
D chordD G chordG D chordD G chordG D chordD G chordG
Her_____oin, it's my wife, and it's my life
G chordG D chordD
Because a mainline in my vein
G chordG D chordD
Leads to a center in my head
G chordG D chordD
And then I'm better off as dead

G chordG D chordD
Cos when the smack begins to flow
G chordG D chordD
Oh, I really don't care anymore
G chordG D chordD
'Bout all the jim-jims in this town
G chordG D chordD
And all the politicians making crazy sounds
G chordG D chordD
And everybody puttin' everybody else down
G chordG D chordD
And all the dead bodies piled up in Nam

G chordG D chordD
Cos when the smack begins to flow
G chordG D chordD
And I really don't care anymore

G chordG D chordD
When that heroin is in my blood
G chordG D chordD
And the blood is in my head
G chordG D chordD
Then I thank God that I'm as good as dead
G chordG D chordD
And thank your God that I'm not aware
G chordG D chordD
And thank God that I just don't care
G chordG D chordD
And I guess that I just don't know
G chordG D chordD G chordG D chordD G chordG
And I guess that I just don't know

The beggining of every verse you need to play the strings individually to give it the normal feel, but as soon as the song starts to pick up eg, "Cos it makes me feel like I'm a man" is when you start strumming the chords. I hope that helps

Can you make it work on a uke? Wow! I can play the chords, but getting the desired result... Not really. More because of my playing than chords. The chords do seem spot on.

About this song: Heroin

"Heroin" is a song by The Velvet Underground, released on their 1967 debut album, The Velvet Underground and Nico. Written by Lou Reed in 1964, the song is one of the band's most celebrated compositions, overtly depicting heroin use and abuse. Critic Mark Deming writes, "While 'Heroin' hardly endorses drug use, it doesn't clearly condemn it, either, which made it all the more troubling in the eyes of many listeners".[1]
