Released on May 7, 2012, this teaser single precedes the release of Passion Pit's new album, Gossamer, by more than two months. "Take a Walk" is a song about coming to America filled with hopes and dreams. It tells a story of a young man struggling alone to make money so that he can bring his wife over to the United States. He is successful and is able to bring along his family too, who then make their own homes along the East Coast. His mother-in-law comes to visit and never leaves.
