Where the streets have no name

I want to feel, sunlight on my face

See that dust cloud disappear without a trace

I want to take shelter from the poison rain

Where the streets have no name

D D
Where the streets have no name

Where the streets have no name
G G
We're still building then burning down love

Burning down love
Bm Bm A A
And when I go there, I go there with you...
D D
It's all I can do

The city's a flood

And our love turns to rust

We're beaten and blown by the wind, trampled in dust

I'll show you a place high on the desert plain

Where the streets have no name

Where the streets have no name

Where the streets have no name

Still building then burning down love

Burning down love

And when I go there, I go there with you

It's all I can do

D D
Our love turns to rust
G G
And we're beaten and blown by the wind
D D
Blown by the wind, oh and I see love

See our love turn to rust
G G
And we're beaten and blown by the wind
Bm Bm
Blown by the wind, oh when I go there
A A
I go there with you it's all I can do

About this song: Where The Streets Have No Name

"Where the Streets Have No Name" is a song by Irish rock band U2 and the opening track from their 1987 album The Joshua Tree. It was released as the album's third single in August 1987 . Bono was inspired to write the lyrics by the notion that it is possible to identify a person's religion and income based on the street on which they lived, particularly in Belfast. Amidst difficulties recording the song, producer Brian Eno attempted to erase the song from the recording tapes.
