About this song: I'm Looking Through You
"I'm Looking Through You" was written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, with a majority of the songwriting attributed to the latter. It was first released as part of the album Rubber Soul, released in the UK on 3 December, 1965. Lead vocals are performed by McCartney. Three separate versions of the song were recorded in October and November, 1965, the last of which was included on Rubber Soul. The original version recorded on 24 October was slower than the released version, had a significantly different rhythm, and lacked the "Why, tell me why.
