I use DU tap for the strumming and leave on the dm at the end

love it so much!
one thing i do: every time around i take my finger off the E string after the pluck and pluck again, then every fourth time of that I don't pluck the E string again but the A string the second time. It adds a nice touch!

(sorry if that is hard to understand!)
