About this song: Nothing As It Seems
"Nothing As It Seems" is the first single from Pearl Jam's sixth studio album, Binaural (2000). The single was released on April 25, 2000 and peaked at number three on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. The song also appears on rearviewmirror (greatest hits 1991-2003). The song was composed by bassist Jeff Ament. Ament plays upright bass on the song giving it a very atmospheric feel. Guitarist Mike McCready used a Fender Pedal for the song which provided the song with its distorted sounds.
