Notes :
1) In the verse, lines with the * symbol can be played several different ways. I personally like to go C#-D-D-A because it's easier, but I've seen people play it C#-D-Asus4-A or C#-D-D-Asus4
So experiment around and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
2) Regarding the strumming pattern: The easy version is that you simply go with two down strokes on each beat or one up-down on each beat (dd/dd/dd/dd or du/du/du/du). Alternatively, dx-dx-dx-dx is great.
3) Percussive ukulele:
If you know how to play percusively, that's how you do this song justice imo.
For instance, if you're used to play percussively with the bridge (hitting the bridge with the thumb for a "thump" sound)
and the body (hitting the body with for knuckle for a clear "tap" of your ukulele,
you can try this: d-x-bridge-body / d-x-bridge-body / d-x-bridge-body /d-x-bride-body.
That's the easy version above, with extra percussive moves inserted between each down stroke.
