# I won't explain the whole song 'cause i didn't tab it yet.
# The whole song is based on the chords Am, C, G, Em, A and E (and some D chords in the verses).
# You'll find a complete chord list also on this site.
# First of all there's just a fingerpicking version of the intro:
# A---2-----2-----2-----2-----3-----3-----3-----3----0-
# E-----0-----0-----0-----0-----0-----0-----0-----0--0-
# C--------------------------------------------------0-
# G-2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2-----2------2-
# repeat these arpeggios a few times, then play:
# A-0-2-3--3-2-0--0-2-3-3-0--
# E--------------------------
# C--------------------------
# G--------------------------
# after that there's a tricky fingerpicking version of the sweet melody at the beginning/mainriff
# of the song. It's an ukulele interpretation I did. Not exactly the same as played in the song,
# but it sounds pretty good, when you know how to play it:
# Am C _3_ G Em A
# A-0-2-3---3---232-------2---0-------
# E-------0---0-----3---3---3---------
# C-----0---0---------2---2-4---------
# G-2-2-----------------------2-------
# Am C _3_ G E A
# A-0-2-3---7---575-2-----2-----2---0-
# E-------0---0-------3-----0-----0---
# C-----0---0-----------2-----4-4-----
# G-2-2-------------0-----0-1-------2-
# since tabs don't show timing and note lengths, you might have to figure it out by yourself.
# But I'm sure you'll recognize the timing and melody if you'll start playing it very slowly,
# note by note when you know the song.
# I recommend hammering on/pull off for the triplets an the A string (232 and 575)
# Please do not rate this tab, if you don't know the song! You won't be able to play it without the rhythm!
# Have fun and enjoy!

Top Tabs & Chords by Metallica, don't miss these songs!
About this song: The Unforgiven
"The Unforgiven" is a song by the American heavy metal band Metallica. It was released as the third single from their fifth album Metallica. Though one of the slower tracks on the album, its chord progression is distinctly one of the heavier. The Unforgiven Songfacts says: On the show Classic Albums: Metallica - The Black Album, James Hetfield explained that the intro was taken from the score of a Western movie, and reversed so it would not be identifiable. The band won't reveal the movie for legal reasons, but it is probably the 1965 Clint Eastwood movie For A Few Dollars More.
