About this song: Nothing Else Matters
Nothing Else Matters is 8th track off Metallica's famous "Metallica" album (referred often to as "the Black Album" due to the cover art). The album has sold over 25 million copies world wide. It was Metallica's first, more popular sounding album. The track was composed and written by James Hetfield to his girlfriend whom he missed during long touring sessions. The track became a massive hit instantly after the album was published. Producer for this song is Bob Rock, and Lars Ulrich is a co-writer. It's also the only Metallica song that Hetfield plays it's guitar solo instead of Kirk Hammett.
