Biography The Kingsmen
At the time they recorded "Louie Louie" in Portland at NorthWestern Studios, The Kingsmen were recent graduates from David Douglas High in Portland, Oregon, who were formed in 1959. Today, The Kingsmen survive with their original lead guitar player, Mike Mitchell. Jack Ely sang "Louie Louie." Lynn Easton played the drums. Don Galluci from Franklin HS played the Honer electric piano.
