How to read Ukulele tabs for beginners
A quick introduction to tab reading!
The lines stand for each string on the uke
The numbers are the frets that you play
You read tab from left to right.
Example tab:
A------------------4--------------------------------------------------
E----------2----------------------------------------------------------
C---0-----------------------------------------------------------------(the thickest string)
G--------------------------3------------------------------------------
Here you will start by playing the open C
Next 2nd fret on the E
4th fret on the A
3rd on the G
This is a basic intro to chords as tabs.
A-----0----------------------------------
E-----0----------------------------------
C-----1----------------------------------
G-----2----------------------------------
This is how you would write the A chord. The tab will look similar if you are to play 2 notes or more at once!
