I also put a capo on the first fret, and play the same chords. That mainly just depends on what fits your voice better.

For the strumming pattern, I use DDDU DDDU DDDU D
Each "DDDU" pattern is for each chord. Except for the AM at the end, it's always just one strum down. This is just for the intro. For the verses, I just go DDDDU DDDDU DDDDU D. And, each of these "DDDDU" patterns are for each chord. Then the AM at the end is just one strum downwards. For the chorus, it's DDUDUD DDUDUD DDUDUD DUDUDUDD, DDUDUD DDUDUD DDUDUD DUDUDUDD. The strumming pattern changes a lot throughout, so if some of these patterns are wrong, or you don't know where I'm talking about in the song, that's completely fine. You can just make up your own pattern as you go! It gets easier after a while and it helps you feel the beat of the song more. Anyways, I really hope this helped! I'm also very sorry if any mistakes are made. :)
