History On October 2nd, 2002, a group of young musicians came together to form the band Egypt Central. For one year, nothing was happening for the band. These young men, still determined , dilligently wrote and recorded until they generated a buzz in their hometown of Memphis, Tennessee. After eight shows, the band caught the attention of former Lava Records CEO Jason Flom. Impressed with their demo, he immediately offered the band a record deal after seeing their live performance. Their debut album was recorded with renowned producer Josh Abraham in Los Angeles.
