About this song: Half The World Away
This is a cover by AURORA of Oasis’s 1994 original “Half The World Away” written by Noel Gallagher. It was released on November 6, 2015 as the music to a UK department store (John Lewis)’s Christmas advert. The advert (called “Man On The Moon”) features a young girl, Lily, who uses her telescope to spot an elderly man who lives alone on the moon. The advert aimed to raise awareness of loneliness and encourage people to reach out to older family members, friends and neighbors. The advert raised money for the charity, Age UK.
